My GPU is not giving output. HELP!

Adityanair

Right off the assembly line
I've got a PC with:
Intel Core i7 2600K
MSI Z68A GD65 G3
GSkill 1600Mhz 8GB RAM
Intel 320 Series SSD.
MSI R6950 TF3 PE/ OC (already oced my MSI).
Cooler Master Extreme power plus 600w.

My PC was working fine for a few months. Then one morning it just would not give any output. I tried plugging the GPU out and then using the IGP. Then it worked. Whenever I plug the gpu back, it wont give me output. Please help me as this was a very costly PC built for gaming and development by my father with his hard earned money. I think it might be the PSU.. do you?

Thanks
Aditya

most likely PSU is not able to give required power to the GPU hence no display but first try plugging GPU in friends pc but remember GPU is power hungry so a local PSU will immediately go up in smoke.

This might very well be the root of the problem. First ensure the graphics card is OK. I have similar experience on my friend's system where that very PSU has taken down a Radeon 4850. Hope you will be more lucky.

you should never have trusted a cooler master psu
they are called crapper masters for a reason
buy a corsair cx 500 or cx 600 and you shold be fine!

BMG ftw!!
Cooler Master Extreme power plus 600w.

It is the reason.
It can't provide the necessary power to HD6950.

You need to buy good PSU.
Some rough suggestions:
1. Corsair CX430V2 @2.4K
2. Corsair VS450 @2.2K
3. Corsair GS600 @4.1K
4. Corsair TX650 @5.8K (overkill)
