Did you try mail.yahoo.com instead?

well I allways use mail.yahoo.com but even yahoomail.com is working.

try deleting your temp & cache files,restart ur comp. and then check

well also tell us what error does it give. are you using any firewal?

Actually there is problem with mtnl some time yahoomail.com not opening and some time google or gmail.com not opening. But now every think working fine . As it is after all mtnl any thing can be possible
