mp3 palyer upto Rs.4000 of 1 GB memory!!

I want to buy a good MP3 player of 1 GB, my budget is Rs.4000. I stay in PATNA and here many Japanese/Chinese designer player are available at Rs. 1800-5000 upto 2GB in which many iPod look like player also available. Now tell me should I go for this local cheap player? INTEX and TRANSCEND are also available upto Rs.3700 with 1GB memory. I want to know about their sound quality. By the way Transcend mp3 player was looking very cool. Can anyone help me in buying a good player upto Rs.4000??
