Moving Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 7 Professional

my friend have a Windows 7 Ultimate installed( pirate version)in his lapee .he bought a Windows 7 Professional CD. There is a lot of software installed on the computer which he don't want to re-install.

Is there a way to back-up the system and restore the whole thing, including all the software,

The point is that moving from Ultimate to Professional.

it will require a tricky repair method:

an easier but morally a bit ambiguous solution would be to keep using the "ahem" windows & not using ultimate only features like bitlocker.after all your friend already paid for genuine pro version & using ultimate version without bitlocker(rest features are too technical & have no significance to an average user) is same as using pro version.
