Is Asus actually a good/reliable company? How's Zenfone's build quality?

Moto G,Zenfone 5 are the only two decent androids in that budget
which one to buy is purely preference, both are more or less equal

Thanks.
Battery life and camera quality would be same too, I assume?

Would a lesser RAM in G2 be a problem?

either get Moto G or wait for Zenfone 2. current Zenfone has really poor battery life. i get upto 2 days with light usage on Moto G. my friend with Zenfone 4 (4.5") gets around 18hrs at best. Also playing games heats up the phone really badly.
And no. 1GB is sufficient. thanks to no bloatwares.

PS: Zenfone 2 set to arrive here in April.

frankly battery life on Zenfone 5 is supposedly bad but my two friends and my cousin have Moto G and its battery life isnt that great either and doesnt last them over a day of normal usage
cant say much for zenfone as ive not really had a proper hands-on with the device, only a few glances
Camera is adequate on both
Moto G's finish makes it nice to hold,Zenfone looks flashy and nice at the front, back is a bit boring
Both phones are great
Ram wont make much of a difference thanks to near-stock rom ,CPU performance of Zenfone 5 will be better thanks to Intel Atom

a word of caution,if you do end up buying the Moto G,dont update it to Lollipop,it drastically reduced battery life and performance and was really bad on my Nexus 5 too
I suggest sticking to Kitkat or trying out a custom rom such as CM instead of official Lollipop

if you can wait,Zenfone 2 is coming soon as Sam said

+1 to Moto G (2014) but Yureka is way better IMHO.

yeah agreed but op wants proper ASS and going by MMX reputation , i would recommend MMX and Yu to people who arent willing to take the risk of poor ASS
vfm factor is certainly more in Yureka though but depends on op if he wants to take the risk
