Moto G (2nd gen) Vs Asus Zenfone 5. Which is better?

My Dad has Motorola G 2nd gen. with lollipop.
I'm confused between Zenfone and moto g.
Zenfone has only advantage of 2gb RAM over Moto g.
But Moto G has frequent updates and Lollipop.

So Which would be better in long run?

if you can, wait for Zenfone 2. Current Zenfone is old and outdated with poor battery life. Don't think i need to say anything about Moto G as you have one in your place. By the time Zenfone 2 comes out Moto G should receive a pricecut as its been selling at the same price since launch.

@sam there isn't any news about zenfone 2 launching in India.
They are saying about it in Q2/Q3, this is way too long.

Is this purchase going to be urgent? If not wait for a little more longer, lets see what MWC brings to the table.
To answer your thread, there are different variations of Zenphone 5 available, so check the specs thoroughly before you put in the money.
NO point putting the money on Zen2, cos India is getting the inferior version mostly!
Just for a thought, If your okay with an imported LG G2, its even better at that price, its got the 5.0 update also, downer side no warranty, and customs!

They are saying about it in Q2/Q3, this is way too long.

projected date of release is Q2 and according to GSMArena it will be launched by March. Should land here by April if the date is not pushed back further. Else the tried and tested Moto G is always there.
