so as the title says i want to buy moto e 2nd gen 4g model by replacing the old one for Rs 1500 off.is this a steal deal?
or is there anything better.

nah not really necessary that 4G LTE tag got my attention thats it.

3G itself hasnt yet established itself in India
4G LTE has a loooong way to go

even 3G's full potential speed ,benefits and range are yet to be surpassed in India

still 2nd gen is an awesome phone

Look for some alternatives. Moto E isn't worth it now.

I would say Nah. Moto E is just A turtle here. But you can root your Moto E(1st gen) and get the lollipop experience. Trust me, i have it and it runs Asphalt 8 and shadow gun at high settings like butter! . getting phones just for 4G here in India is just dropping hard earned money in a pool of lava. Its a "Phail" country. I wouldnt be surprised if 4G comes after our generation.

Moto E 1st gen is really slow now(have a spare one) even after rooting etc nothing changes
2nd gen looks miles ahead atleast on paper

Not really, for me on cm12.1 stock kernel for now, it works like a charm. No lags in the ui, never better.

I use is for me daily driver and the battery is perfect. 2days on casual use. A whole day on 1hour of asphalt and 2hours of YouTube.

well mine lags like crazy,have tried multiple roms etc
its now on kitkat stock unrooted and is used by my younger cousin bro

When did you try diff roms? Try the latest cm12.1, it might change your opinion. I could be a hardware fault too, mine works just fine.

Ive tried CM12.1 also
its just underpowered,it was a great phone for the price when it released,now its just ok

Well, its my first android so I can't really complain much. Bought in Oct last year on big billion day for 5500, was 7k that time so I got a great deal. Which phone do you use right now?

720 as my main phone
backup phones-Nexus 5,Lumia 820,BB Z10,Moto E (usually 1-2 of them are idle in the house,my mom uses the 820 as her 2nd phone at times,Moto E is used now by my cousin)
my main priority is battery life,camera and smoothness so my 720 is my daily phone and I occasionally need another phone for work(Z10,Nexus 5)
