Hi Guys,

How do you determine if a particular RAM is compatible with motherboard.

E.g I am buying Intel H61WW motherboard and i wish to buy single 4GB stick for same.

Which parameters are to be considered here ?

Yes you can do that and infact for future its best. As it has two DIMM slots and if you get one 4GB DDR3 1066/1333 MHz then you can further upgrade your PC in future with more RAM and get 8 GB.

^^ Any 4GB DDR3 1333 MHZ will be compatible. Compatibility is not an specific company issue. No matter which company's RAM you pick it'll be compatible.

The RAM you mentioned is compatible.

It should be mechanically compatible. Rest works. All DDR3 is slotted (physically) the same. That is all that counts.

pal....every mobo manufacturer gives a QVL for the ram.It should be in the user guide accompanying the mobo.
Other than that ...you have to Google:smile:
