+1 to Moto G (2014)

+1? I didn't get you. Neither OP nor any other members suggested Moto G here I guess.

@OP : Have you referred to Sam's buying guide buddy? You've got all worthy options in all price segments there and FYI Moto G is literally a no-brainer under 15k for Andrioid and Lumia 730 if you're into WP.

Slightly OT : I'm really astonished by the fact that things that have already been discussed to death in multiple threads still come up as queries every single day and there are members here to responding the same blindly rather than suggesting OP to go through the stickies and other related threads.

Other than local brands. I can't differentiate between local and international/global brand. Means you don't want indian brand?

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
Both front and rear camera. Good enough for Instagram and such stuffs.

And flash you want or not?
new micromax selfie mobile has "13 mp front facing camera with flash". Just for info.

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Everything other than High end Gaming. It should be able to run Temple Run, Asphalt and may be FIFA

other than? you should ask for high gaming smartphone (always : my point of view, because gaming is the only thing which can use all your resources, so better get for high end then at least you can play for low end. ;)), for everyday use also, because performance matters.

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Asus Zenfone 5

I will delete my reply. Not because I am wrong, because people will talk about me instead of finding op mobile...

Thank you so much for such a long information

I finally have my choices. Moto G or Zenfone 5.

1) 1GB Ram With Snapdragon vs 2GB Ram with Intel processor. Which is good.

2) How is the service of both phones, since both are available only on flipkart?

I think if i get answer for these i will have my choice for sure.

Service varies from place to place but I would pick moto G coz of the simplistic UI and ease of usage. Intel has some problem with some apps or was having no idea on this but snapdragon works generally well every where.

I'm not sure about intel processor (not about speed, about support, cpu architecture differs.)
Go for moto g... or wait for moto e... or micromax yu phone (dec 18)
zenfone 5 does not offer rich user experience..
Service? service center?

Yes Service Center!

I don't know about service, but I can give you guarantee about moto phones. I have seen Moto E, Moto G 1st gen users from my family and friends, nothing happened to device. My dad's moto e sometimes response slow, not often, lots of apps installed and not maintained properly. But everything is good, if case and screen guard is there for extra protection. :)

No need of service center in case of moto device at least for 1 year use, as I seen users from family and friends. :)

Simple if you need a good camera and 2GB ram get zenphone 5 for everything else get moto G 2014.

Service is same with Moto and Asus. Both have service centers.

I wouldn't suggest you to get 1st gen moto G due to lack of memory card slot and not so good camera.

yep i totally agree, they have similiar spec but the cameras in the 730 are a major perk to consider the 730 over the Moto G

i thought its rear cam is its downside. The 6.7 MP rear cam on my 720 was good for the initial few months, but I dont know how its producing grainy images ever since.

To add to that, the Moto G 2014 might have that water repellent coating just like it's older brother (though you should still Google this). This saves you the trouble for taking extra caution while getting caught in a sudden downpour.

Finally, if you are not that much of a power user then you can go with either the Z5 or the Moto, but because the Moto G has quite a robust unofficial support over at XDA you get therefore receive faster upgrades, better choice (of apps, mods, roms), extensive literature (to refer, for beginners)

not the case for me,its rear cam beats most other cams out there
maybe you have a hardware fault or something
the front cam on the 720 was a bit grainy (730s is a major improvement with the new 5mp camera)
