it has excellent internals (beating Moto G hands down) but in the long run in terms of update and specially durability, the outcome mayn't be good. Take a chance with MMX, it may pay off or play safe with Moto G.

PS: Moto G despite last gen h/w and less ram is more than capable of handling everyday use with absolutely no lag.

What upgrades will Asus Zenphone 5 2015 have in comparison to the older Asus Zenphone 5 version?

ARMv8 chipset (currently its Intel x86) so better compatibility with games and apps. Better update roadmap (current Zenfone5 Android 5.0 update may be the final update). camera and battery may receive mild update while at the same time being slightly cheaper.

go in for zenfone 5 (not the 2015 model it will have mediatek chipset which isnt worth it imho-lack of dev support, compatibility issues etc),Moto G 2014(not 2013 as it lacks an sd card slot and is small in size-not necessarily a con but still),Lumia 730 and Lumia 535

also if you can wait, zenfone 2 is also launching around the same price range and is gonna shake the market imho

I have to purchase Android phone before 29th Jan within Rs. 10K only.
So only Zenfone 5 is left.
As I was considering Panasonic Eluga S, Pls explain why Zenfone 5 is better than Eluga S

eluga s update system may not be so good, after sales hasnt been reviewed by anyone
its stock rom is loaded with bloat and is heavy
it has an octa core mediatek cpu which means no custom roms etc and poor performance compared to snapdragon or intel based phones in this range
zenfone 5 is a better choice
