Microsoft Corp India and HCL Infosystems Ltd have announced a set of joint initiatives, including the launch of world's cheapest Windows enabled laptop computer and the setting up of a center of excellence (CoE) to create a customized solution framework for India.

@Nucleus, It's better to change the title as the article clearly states that:

cheapest Windows enabled laptop computer
It's quite understandable that the worlds cheapest laptop will run anything but windows.:rolleyes:

BTW,

Microsoft Corp COO Kevin Turner said that Microsoft and HCL have partnered to promote the use of IT in India for over two decades. According to him, the CoE will have over 500 software professionals who will create and deploy Microsoft technologies in various sectors, such as banking, telecom, defence, and railways.

We already know the fate of systems running windows in the Indian government, latest being the Ministry of External Affairs Servers.:rolleyes:
