Microsoft seeks testers for antivirus service

Microsoft has begun soliciting testers for OneCare Live, the company's subscription antivirus and anti-spyware service.

In an online posting seeking people to try out the service, Microsoft said that it plans to start testing this summer.

"This new service will be entering its beta testing phase in a few weeks," the company said on its OneCare Web site. A Microsoft representative was not immediately able to offer further details on the testing or say when the final service will be ready.

Lets hope this Antivirus s/w given by MS is as powerful, reliable and as competative as the likes of other big fishes like AVG,Norton and many more in the market struggling for existance.....(and reliablity shud i say)

Overall the bottom line is that it shud be effective in removing out the viruses and other malicious codes as it did in removing the spyware from its MS Antispyware Beta version 1 (wich is alas!)coming to REST IN PEACE........ amen !!!

Lets hope this Antivirus s/w of MS stays for a long time......and that too for (FREE !!!)

cheers n peace......
