Micromax Canvas HD(A116) root ....

I recently purchased a Micromax canvas hd, I want to know the safest way to root it and also any custom rom which would fix the irritating gps issue. I'm not a geek, i'm a boy of 15 so let me learn how to root it. I also learned from the net that the official 4.2 update lets u move apps to sd card but there are problems with the touch screen and it starts flickering. What do I do?

Is ur phone currently running on 4.2 ?? 4.2 solves GPS locking issues too

Try factory reseting your phone & see if it solves the problem (flickering screen). It may be a problem with display itself. Take it to service centre

I didn't change to 4.2 just downloaded some GPS fix apps and it works smoothly.it locks within 10 seconds!
