Micromax has launched the A88 Canvas Music, the company’s latest smartphone in the Canvas portfolio. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone was showcased at the Micromax MTV Video Music Awards in Mumbai last month. MLive app in the phone lets you download over 4 lakh songs.

The Micromax A88 Canvas comes in Pearl White and Midnight Black colors and is priced at Rs. 8,499. It would go on sale from 16th May. Micromax has partnered with leading headphones brand JBL to offer a free JBL Tempo headset with the Canvas Music A88.

^^Exactly. Personally I don't like the Micromax Canvas HD due to its poor build quality, bad camera performance and bugs (Network and restart issues) and went fo XOLO Q800 which IMO, is far better in terms of software, Camera and Video recording performance as well as display quality. Another thing to mention is the software support for it in Android Developer's fforum. Even now, there are plenty of custom tweaks and stable JB 4.2 Roms available for it.
Currently using Jelly Bean 4.2.1 Ultimate V1 Rom for it which comes Sony Bravia Engine 3, HTC Beats Audio Plugin, AcidMod Sound Plugin, Sony ClearAudio and Walkman plugin, DOlby Mobile Plugin and JB + Camera etc. The sound quality is ultimate with it and the NovaLauncher experience is real smooth and customizable.

I have compared xolo a800 with canvas 2 (both dual core) and I found that xolo have much better build quality so now I am considering xolo q800, q700, x910, t1000
