media player problem

Hi guys,

I cannot play avi files in my media player.
I m using media player 10.
Even I had downloaded codec for solving my problem, but not succeed.
Please tell me the solution of this problem.

The problem may be in the compression technique used for that AVI file . Generally cinepak compression and the same codec plays AVi in media player . Try searching based on the attributed info of AVI file.

try installing Klite Codec pack.... it generally solves most of the codec problems...
if the file still refuses to play, try the VLC player.. that thing runs almost anything...
