How to delete MBR ?
in Win XP, 2000, GRUB-----(Any specific command)

Why u wanna do this?
Try reinstalling grub or edit grub.conf file.

U can boot using Win XP or 200 Setup CD and in Recovery Console, type command:

fixmbr

 

[expertno.1]

use your windows setup cd and go to the recovery console and there type

fixmbr

also you will have to fix

fixboot

then done

doesn't deleting MBR corrupt OS. i m weak at this concept. plz be a lil' more explanatory.

os is this case of two OS runnin on a machine.

If u r deletin ur MBR then no Boot menu > No OS boot,
Fix MBR is diff, it guides ur boot record to ur primary part from where it is handled by boot.ini....
