Looking for a reliable mouse with extra buttons for <5k

Currently own a failing G600 and never ended up using its 20 buttons, but do need something with 5 or so extra buttons. Also don't want to spend time replacing the switches every year or so.

Is the G502 Hero for 3.7k the best option?
There is also a version with opto-mechanical switches for almost double the price. Do they last forever?
What about Logitech MX Master 2S?

I own a G502 that I have been using for the last two years or so. I have no complaints. It does not have as many buttons as the G600, but it has enough.

What's the issue with the existing mouse? Tracking issue or buttons?
I fixed the buttons off my omen mouse and Logitech gaming mouse with just a dab of wd40.

Wheel stopped working. Maybe I shorted something while replacing the switches. Tracking and buttons still work.
