Looking for a Mobo to go with 3600

I am looking for a Mobo and Ram to go with 3600. Prefer something that can keep the 3600 overclocked and cool. My normal temperature is around 25-30 where I live.
Mobo budget is 13k or so and Ram 5-6k. Will prefer to get both within 20k or so.

I also dont mind putting 1-2k extra for comparatively good stuff.

Also 500GB SSD suggestion to go with the Mobo within 5-6k would be nice too I guess. I am RM750x and 1050ti atm Will upgrade later as necessary. Also using H100i.

Ryzen 3000 doesn't OC much, yes it will get bit better multicore performance but sacrifices single core performance. For gaming, single core performance matters as well. BTW R5 3600s are expensive right now.

For mobo, you can get Gigabyte B550 DS3H (9k) & call it quits or if you want something bit better for OC, get MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi (12k) or MSI B550M Bazooka (13.5k). These 2 mobos have 2x M.2 SSD slots, which is very handy IMO. Some cheap B550s don't have 2nd M.2 slot, so be careful. Even a good B450 like MSI B450 Tomahawk Max lacks 2nd M.2 slot. Other than that Gen4 SSD slot (1 slot) & PCIe GPU slot are handy additions for B550.

You get basic non RGB 8GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18 RAM for 3.2k, so get 2 of those. 3200MHz vs 3600MHz difference is very small, so don't overspend on RAM.

Kingston A2000 or WD SN550 500GB for 5k are good choices, get whichever is cheaper. I'd give a small advantage to A2000, but minor.

Note: R5 3600 is a 65W CPU & won't go over 100W even with some aggressive OC IMO, so that R9 3900X is a good reference for OC results.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I got the 3600 as gift so cant do much about it. I want a stable system is all. I dont use AC so temperature matters while running 7-10 hours a day.

Now my question is that does a micro atx board run hotter than full atx? Otherwise dont mind getting a Matx.
Next question is MSI RMA, I heard they got issues? I will mostly be RMAing from Kolkata, I assume. If the RMA sucks, do you have any alternative?

Check this out. You can upgrade to 5000 series later if you wish.

Whatever you buy, don't buy that, literally one of the worst B550. If the previous pic didn't make that clear for you, check this, it crashes an OC'd R9 3950X on heavy load:

I haven't heard of mATX being inferior to ATX in general, I mean, the pics I posted clearly shows some mATX mobos having better VRM temps than ATX ones, like Mortar vs Gaming X.

I'll prefer getting Gigabyte B550M DS3H + 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz if your budget is bit tight, otherwise, MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi is more than enough. A 3600MHz dual channel RAM will improve performance a bit over having a high-end mobo for R5 3600, as its power draw isn't high.

Thanks a lot for the advice guys, especially @omega44-xt . I finally got a Asus TUF gaming B550M Plus and Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit - Black

I think I kinda got duped on the Ram.. Wanted a cheaper one but they got me this 7k+ one...
Now the thing is I managed to OC the processor to 4GHZ easy with the asus utility and its stable as fuck, but the RAM is at 2666mhz. Any idea why?

Did you enable XMP? or it is still @ 2666mhz even after enabling XMP?

Didnt find anything called XMP in Bios. There is something called D.O.C.P or something but its enabled with some premade profile called 1.

Yeah, that's the one. Select the profile with the highest frequency (3600mhz in your case) available, and save/exit.

How much did you pay? Price of each

There is only one profile which is already enabled. I dunno how to get more etc.
What does that profile say? Does it say 3600mhz?
If your kit is 3600mhz, there should be atleast one profile with 3600mhz.
Are there any other RAM sticks installed other than this new kit?
