I have recently installed Suse 9.1 from an old Digit DVD.It was working fine but after that I installed Windows XP Pro.Since then Linux is not booting. How can i install the boot loader again.
You will have to install Linux again. But while installing choose only upgrading and just set the boot loader. It' ll not effect ur previous settings. Otherwise I dont think there is any other way because while you install Windows a command "format /mbr" is executed which cleans the master boot record and i suppose it is unrecoverable.
No need to reinstall linux,if u r sure that u didnt install M$ Windows over previous Linux install...U can use any rescue cd to fix the GRUB-boot loader for linux...
