1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)

70-80k (would be open to anything starting from 50k as well, if it suits my needs)

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen

Screen size strictly no more than 14'' (Prefer 13'')
Need a lightweight laptop to carry around most of the time

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Browsing, Movies, MS Office (Read: heavy excel files)
Gaming - No

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eyeing for ?

Should have: SSD
Not important: Disk drive, graphics card

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like:
b. Dislike:Acer

6) Anything else you would like to say?

Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) )
Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) )

Have Macbook Air in mind, but that would be a compromise on Screen - not sure which Macbook Pro to substitute (and the weight factor)

Dell XPS 13 is 50% more than my budget.
The standard models suggested here - Lenovo Y50, Asus ROG etc are too heavy to carry around for my liking.

Thanks all...I liked the Macbook model suggested - slightly above my budget but seems worth the price. Anything I should keep in mind (caveats) before making the purchase? I know sounds vague, but would like to hear before investing the amount.

PS: LG one seems a real beauty, but for availability in India

Lenovo Flex 2 could be a good option for lower budget. And if possible, check out the Surface Pro 3 and Thinkpad X1 Carbon.
