LG is all set to hold a press conference in Mumbai on July 19 where the company will officially launch its quad-core powered LG Optimus 4X HD in the Indian market. This will be the third quad-core powered Android smartphone to launch in India after the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III.

LG Optimus 4X HD is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based device which is topped with Optimus UI 3.0. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor which is supported with a ULD GeForce GPU.

The Android smartphone sports a 4.7 inch display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. The Optimus 4X HD includes 16GB of built-in storage out of which 12GB is available to the user and expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD card.

This LG device has a good 2,150 mAh Li-Ion battery which is rated to provide up to 690 hours of standby and up to hours of talk time on 3G. The pricing is yet to be revealed but chances are that it will be priced around Rs 38,000. Along with the Optimus 4X HD LG will also launch the Optimus L5 in the Indian market.
