As kunalgujarathi said the Est. Cost- 25-27 k is it for 16GB version? Will it be Available in 32GB version or as Moto X only 16 GB version :-x

16 GB only available in India!

Moto X 2nd gen to launch for 30-32k... all phones in this price bracket are nowhere near to Moto X

We are talking about Moto X 2nd generation!

Snapdragon 801, camera, active display , moto voice, battery life.

Mixed usage obviously

+1

Moto has achieved optimisation levels that even Google on its own Nexus couldn't achieve!

So definitely Despite being Full HD,2.5 GHz the 2400~2500 maH will provide decent battery life!

Snapdragon 801 is nothing but a boosted 800, camera yet to be reviewed, note that moto x lacks OIS which is very important for low light shots, moto voice isn't that exciting imho, battery life is yet to be seen.

Do you have a source for this?

these optimization were done under Google's leadership. N5 is using stock android without much optimizations as it is suppose to act more like a developer device. Another point: Moto X doesn't have heating problem as other flagships (not as severe as others). The 2 Krait 300 are allowed to run at full clockspeed for longer without throttling something i doubt Nexus 5 can.

That article doesn't list Nexus 5, also we are talking about Moto X 2014, which will have Krait 400, quad core, just like N5 but faster hence producing more heat. The entire Snapdragon 8xx line up suffers from Heating issues.

Also from the article you referenced, battery is on par, nothing spectacular: AnandTech | Moto X Review

Snapdragon 8xx eats through battery, there is a limit to how much you can optimize it, so I'll believe it when I see it.

i know. he referred to Moto X (2013) optimizations. 2014 has just came out. should have similar tweaks.

but people want fast processor. faster processor. fastest processor. Moto X 2013 got criticized for using a midrange processor. people should get used to it. it has been said multiple times a fast dual core is always better than a quadcore which acts like a oven but nobody will buy a phone with dualcore anyway (except Apple ofcourse). now everybody wants octacore.

Battery life will definitely be worse. small battery with bigger screen & power hungry processor. also added more sensors & ICs. makes me wonder if Motorola did some optimization with the SOC itself (binning!!!) but irrespective it'll be poor. waiting for anandtech to tear apart the scores and reveal all those secret sauce.

Stop arguing about these things. Original Moto X is a brilliant phone, I'm sure the new one will be too.
I didn't even consider the previous Nexus 5, as it was made by LG. But now I will.

It'll be a great rivalry between those two, but if Nexus 6 really comes with QHD resolution then I'm out.

Anyway, off topic stuffs, no one should care about what I want or anyone wants other than OP, so stopping here.

Very good choice, congrats and do show some pics.
As far as the earphones go the answer is yes and no, its better than most earphones that come with other phones, but not as good as premium ones sold separately.

Yes, get a cover, the lens will get scratched if you don't.

Nillkin Flip Cover is the best one for the G2: Nillkin Flip G2 - Buy Products Online at Best Price in India - All Categories | Flipkart.com

You can get it cheaper in eBay as well, I got mine from eBay.

Also get a screenguard, helps keep the screen pristine.

Quality of the nillkin cover is good, it protects the screen and the back and also supports the quick window function. The only other case to support the quick windows is the official one costing ~2k. The case also has magnet to keep the flap in place, locked tight.
