Is this good enough for its cost?

until and unless you need a mobile with a big screen, skip it. underpowered processor as well as GPU, no 720p video recording, only 2.4GB memory. Only good thing about it is the display and maybe Android 4.0 out of the box but it looses in every aspect to HTC and Sony.

So can you suggest something within same price range? I like big screens. so 3.5" or 4" will be desirable. Mainly going to use for standard Phone Purposes, GPS & Video Watching during travel.

if you can try a demo unit. the biggest failure in this mobile is the resolution. Pics or anything will look terribly bad for a mobile that cost 13-14k. Secondly the processor is nothing to talk about and as LG (or any phone manufacturer) never optimizes the OS for speed, there can be lag. If you want big screen check Defy+. Or you can even try Defy XT but the whole Defy series have slow processor compared to what Sony offers.

for GPS go for Xperia Neo V slightly more xpensive but much much beter
