Today I disassembled my Lenovo Y500 to repaste TIM but ended up doing an extremely lousy job.
I guess I have to do it again.

That' too much thermal paste. AS5 and for that matter all thermal pastes need thinnest possible layer.

BTW,whats's that thing on your mobo similar to GPU covered with Pad(putty like thing in appearance)??
