mobile viruses will get more nasty...
the latest is the cardtrap virus !

as security tightens on servers and pc's, cell phones and pda's become
an attractive target.

the cardtrap virus, which targets the symbian os.

the current total count of known mobile malware stands at 87, up from
less than 10 early last year. a total of 82 of those viruses were
written to run on the symbian series 60 operating system'

symbian is the world's most popular mobile phone operating system.
the large number of virus attacks on symbian don't mean it's less
secure than other operating systems, it just shows how popular
symbian devices are !

incidentally, this trojan deletes key system files (which will prevent some phone restarting) and write a random password to the MMC (so you can not access data on the MMC). The Trojan pretends to be a pirated copy
application (InstantSIS). 'Cardblock.A is not a threat to people who
don't use pirated copied software'.

FOR THOSE USING PIRATED, WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE !
