An ideal configuration would be:
Resolution - 1080p
RAM - 8 GB
CPU - i5 (5th or 6th Gen.) (willing to go with an i3 if there isn't significant performance difference)
HDD - 1 TB
SSD would be nice but not absolutely necessary

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Have heard good things about Dell
b. Dislike: Am rather wary of Lenovo after hearing about stuff they put in their bios

Screen resolution - MUST be at least 1080p
Battery back up - Average backup will do
Purchase place - No preference
I would like to add that a sturdy build might be necessary because I am sometimes a little careless
Also I would greatly prefer a backlit keyboard, even if it means sacrificing on the RAM or something like lesser HDD space.
