I purchased Transcend JetRam DDR3 8 GB Laptop RAM (JM1333KSH-8G) from flipkart

When I tried booting with the new module installed, my laptop would boot till windows logo and then suddenly.
Same thing happens with Ubuntu (both dual-boot and live boot from USB drive). Everything works fine with the old modules but not the new one. What might be the problem?
