Coding, Very little gaming(just like CS or GTA) , Music, Videos, 24x7 wifi Downloading, some more softwares (an i5 is enough for them)

a NON Glossy Screen is a preference

Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) ) : any one.
Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ) : anyone would do(i would be next to the AC slot most of the time)
Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / Abroad (do mention the country) ) India , Online preferred , can go to shops if offline is suggested

If you won't be gaming much, then why are you comparing both laptops on the basis of dGPU ?

Get a ThinkPad, I5 version will cost close to 38-39k. And consider HP as last option.

yes. (actually, was a bit silly around that gpu comparison, no matter about that though..

the two laptops whose link is given in the first post are not my choices.

and the cheapest i5 thinkpad (Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E431 (62774UQ) Laptop (3rd Gen Intel Core i5 3230- 2GB RAM- 500GB HDD- 14.1 Inches- DOS)) is costing 42k on snapdeal.

and its not offering much when compared with others.

what about :

Lenovo g500 and g510 both are good laptops. My friend has purchased g510 and yes the laptop looks good since he has the same requirements like you. I would suggest you to get g510.

i mean which model ??

i have my eyes on this one : Lenovo G510 59-382843 (4rd Gen Core I5-4200M /4GB/500G/Dos/ATI SUN PRO8570 2GB) @ 38.949k

EDIT : finally, got my eyes off it and ordered it online now for 37.782k

That is what exactly I mean. You will not regret your buy. Lenovo is taking this market seriously after the success of y500 & z500.

bro, i'm a first time laptop buyer.
the laptop hasn't been delivered yet, but there is no mention of laptop bag in the website, so most probably, there won't be any.

i ordered two times earlier on snapdeal (both times lenovo phones worth within 6k) and got the package in good condition.

will surely post about packaging once its received.

Now almost all the shopping websites have shifted to multi - Seller system so, doesn't the packaging depend on Seller ??
still wondering.

the laptop was delivered on 28th December.
IMO, it was not so well packed. just two layers of plastic to protect it from moisture. but yes, inside the box, it was boxed in between Plastic Sponge which was quite good.
the laptop bill said "2 Gb ati sunpro Graphics, but the Configuration list didn't.
though the laptop has an AMD sticker, then i had a chat with a Lenovo guy on their webchat (via a link on their website) , and he said that that model has the Grapics card (Ati sunpro 2GB) .
though i haven't installed AMD Graphics drivers, plan to do so once i reach my Hostel on 3rd jan.
is there a way to check whether it has the graphics card or not ?
