In India, I don't think you'll be able to find a laptop with 1080p screen for 42k. You might have to buy it from abroad.

My friend got an MSI laptop last month from Korea for exactly 42k. I don't remember the model number, but it has i5-2430, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 555M, and a 1080p screen. Sad we don't get them for so cheap here.

Why not go for VPCEH25EN : E Series : VAIO™ Laptop & Computer : Sony India , add 2 GB RAM, and still save those precious 8-9k?

There is a difference of RAM,processor and HDD and the price difference is around 10-11k.
And when the OP is ready to spend to 42k then I think we should let him purchase it ;)

Ok can you quote me any reason why should he spend that extra 10k just to watch movies? I mean i3 + 4GB + an avg graphics should do bingo.

Hmmm bro I agree with you that he don't need the config of 42k laptop but the thing is when one is ready to spend a higher amount then and is getting good config also then he will not even think of lowering his/her budget when he/she is ready to spend a higher amount.A person thinks a lot before increasing the budget but never ever thinks of lowering the budget when he/she is finding that there is a good amount of difference in the products that time the person forgets what is his/her use but will only try to get the best thing. That is a human tendency bro thats it and that is the only reason I suggest the same.

Human tendency Vs Technical View ! I can't say more.

Well in this case, if he can't increase his budget, better he decrease it, coz he is getting nothing really worth those 10k which he really will be using.

Totally agree with you on that...
Sometimes we have to give suggestions considering the human tendency and keep out the technical view.
Anyways now lets see what OP decides...
