Right off the assembly line
Hey readers, I require a laptop for my DAD with the following features. Any advice ?
1) What is your budget?(INR)
38,000 although can be stretched to 45,000 if there's a significant upgrade.
2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Mainstream or even small would do ; 12" - 13" - 14'' - 15" - 16" screen
3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Editing Documents , Listening to Music , Watching Movies .
At the most , the laptop would have to handle decoding a h265 video or running an old game (although unlikely)(NFS Most Wanted 2005)
4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Any mainstream Brand
b. Dislike Apple
5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eyeing for ?
Any processor from the i series (latest gen if possible)
Integrated graphics will do.
4 GB ram (min)
6) Anything else you would like to say?
Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) ) though 1080p will be sweet..
Battery back up ( preferably 5hrs or more )
Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam , snapdeal , ebay ) / Local )
Windows is necessary.
A laptops which looks good and weighs less is always a plus !!
The laptop will not perform resource intensive tasks , so do you think going for a hybrid or untrabook is a good decision?
Kindly mention 3 different laptops (if you can) from the categories mainstream , hybrid and ultrabook .
