I know Dell isn't total VFM, but you might be happy with this:

Else, go for the ASUS K53SV-SX520D ([flipkart.com]) or Acer Aspire 5755G ([flipkart.com]). If battery life is more of a concern, get the Acer TimelineX 5830TG ([flipkart.com]). It promises 8 hour battery backup, but you have to compromise on the processor.
