Kasperky Internet Security 2013 not installing in Windows 8

Hi all,
I upgraded to Windows 8 today. After installing Windows 8, I tried installing Kasperky Internet Security 2013 (3 PC license). The software did not install after repeated attempts. Tried searching online for some solutions. Some said they could install without any issues. One page said "stop Windows Defender and Windows Firewall services"... so did that... still not installing. Getting error message "not compatible with OS"... even though the cover says "windows 8 ready"
Any clue?

update Windows 8. or check if a newer version of Kaspersky is available for download.

@Soumyajit, make sure u are using RTM or Retail version of Windows 8 i.e. build 9200...KIS 2013 doesn't support previous builds i.e. Developer Preview, Consumer Preview and Release Preview with having 8102, 8250 and 8400 builds..hope it works..

I installed Windows 8 Pro after paying Rs 1999 and downloading it. Dont know which version it is. Updates have been set as "automatic" and no updates are pending.

It works fine in my dads PC. I downloaded the copy from kaspesky site and used my spare license.
