Well the wait is over! K3b, the KDE CD/DVD burning application, released its 1.0 version today. A few words from a long and interesting announcement page
K3b 1.0 ChangeLog
K3b 1.0 AnnouncementK3b provides a convenient and feature-rich graphical user interface to handle all of your CD and DVD needs (well, nearly all). Its features range from simple CD and DVD copy and the creation of audio- or even mixed-mode CDs to stuff like audio CD and file transcoding and video DVD ripping. It supports all varieties of CD and DVD media such as CD-R/W, DVD+R(W), DVD-R(W) and their dual-layer counterparts. K3b's user interface tries to merge the needs of the average user with those of the power user: nearly every parameter can be tweaked while K3b provides very reasonable defaults and many automatic modes which try to determine the optimal setting depending on the context. All this makes K3b the perfect tool to burn the occasional CD or DVD.
