hi

i have installed java 1.5 on my linux machine. the problem is that in fedora core 3 some default java vm is installed.

i want to remove those java vm and make my java1.5 as the default java vm. can anybody tell me how to do it.

and also how to set the environment variables such as JAVA_HOME, CLASSPATH and path variable at startup to all users. is there any file i had to update to make this possible.

remove the unwanted java installation in /user/java dir and the other issue of adding java home and classpath open .bashrc amd add the desired path in it. This will be for the usr for system wide use edit /etc/bashrc and add the variables there
