In its most serious bid yet to reap revenue from those who've been getting Windows without payment to Microsoft, the company plans to require computer owners to verify that their copy of Windows is properly licensed before allowing them to download software from Microsoft's site....

You can easily bypass this process, by going to any download site where most microsoft product download is available

If u have this....

"Microsoft.Windows.XP.Professional.with.Service.Pack.2.Volum.License.English.Original"

There will be no probs. updating the OS from the Internet.

But it's very hard to get unless you but it from the M*******t. 8)
