Broken In
Guys, you are the only one who can get me to bed early tonight.
Here is the problem, had a friend assemble a p.c for me a couple of hours ago...He was running late,so he gave a windows xp cd and asked me to pop it in and rest would be a easy task.
I have installed xp on numerous occasions, but i had to fail on my brand new rig....
A little intro to the hardware::
AMD phenom II 965 BE processor
GA-880 GMA CD2H Mother board
2Gb DDR3 Memory Transcend
500GB HDD Seagate
1GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD5570
Corsair Power 450 wt with Circle cabinet
DVD R/W LD
...................................................
Now when i put the c.d in nothing happened,so i called my friend he told me most probably the c.d is messed-up and i had an vista c.d so tried to install vista for now....
The thing is i put the c.d in and the system keeps rebooting,i don't thing its even making an effort to read the cd.....
Now i am afraid where i have ruined the system/hard disk.....
Can anyone throw some light as what could be the issue as its too late to call my friend now...
Please and thanks again.

waiting....:((
