I have the same model router... It is fine... My laptop is one floor above the router and is receiving signal fine... Havent checked the complete extent of the router since it is a recent purchase (got it for 2000 at a local store), but so far no major complaints...

Yes, its a good router. Go ahead. Only gripe is that DD-WRT firmware (customized) support is shaky at the moment. I dunno of any proper DD-WRT firmware for this model since it apparently lacks an MMU.

But if you haf no plans of hacking into it, go ahead and buy this router
