Hi,

My cousin in Nagpur is opting for below config from www.yantraonline.in:

MoBo: EVGA 680i-SLI A1
VGA: EVGA 8800Ultra
RAM: OCZ 1X2 GB 1066MHz NVIDIA SLI-Ready EPP Memory

The quote he got was Rs. 75,850/- + tax. 5% conditional discount was offered on this quote.

I want to know if this deal is good (I am not aware of the prices of similar items in India). Also he is not interested in Asus and XFX (he is EVGA fan) so no alternative is applicable.

Please help me (and him) as he is spending lot of money on his rig!!

I think that's an overkill of $$, u can get the stuff at much lower price if he's ready to forgo warranty on some items.

I think it would be stupid to spend on high-end system and not ask for warranty...
In fact with the high no. of DOA computer items I think its safe to spend few extra money and get warranty...

All EVGA/OCZ products are imported.....MoBo is great (the best with EVGA) but is expensive if bought alone...Individual items are listed on www.yantraonline.in but the prices are higher..
Me and my cousin, thus, tried to negotiate a package deal and this is what they had to offer....

I think if my cousin opts for Asus/XFX/Corsair combo (from India) of similar config then still the landed price to him will be nearly same (as listed on some indian websites)...

What do you think?

EVGA 680i SLI has had some issues like data corruption on sata based HDDs google for problems to know more.Always get a hands on of what other users have experienced.

You can't say about the quality of products offered about online companies. SO its better to know the experience of others before going for deal

I have checked many forums online on this issue and it looks as if this problem has already been solved. Infact if you check forum at EVGA you would find that EVGA/NVidia have already solved this problem long back (This problem of data corruption were mostly reported in Dec, 2006 and not later).

I am not worried about product quality from this online site as i have purchased some items from it and all were authentic. Also you can't go much wrong if the products you get are in sealed condition (that's what they claim and promise). Also I don't think service can be more worse than provided by brick-mortar shops. I have experienced huge time delays when I had to get service for my Kinston memory and MSI MoBo (1 - 2 month). Can it get worse than this?

Anyways Bullzi had purchsed Zalman Cooler and Corsair Dominator Memory from this site. I'll like to know his experience of shopping on this site.

My cousin finally placed my order at yantraonline.in:

EVGA 680i SLI-A1 Motherboard + EVGA 8800Ultra + OCZ 2x1 GB SLI-Ready PC28500 Gaming Memory
Total Damage: Rs. 73,910 + tax + 150 (for COD)

He hopes to get it in 15 "working days"...I will post about his experience when he gets his stuff
