The title explains it all: Revealed in Apple's new iPhone Guided Tour video is the swanky handset's previously-unknown ability to read Word, Excel, and PDF document e-mail attachments. This alleviates fears to the contrary, and will sure be useful for those business-types On The Go eager for their quarterly profit reports and sweet pie charts and whatnot. But without actual editing capabilities, those business-y people still have something to complain about.

Then again, does anybody actually edit Word/Excel documents on their BlackBerry? (Serious question.)

Whether we use the discussed softwares remains a good question?
Word i definitely use ! Excel i definitely use but never to edit. PDF i use a lot almost as much as Word.
I regularly use Office ( Which has support for Office 2007 formats)For Windows Mobile 6 .(Courtesy: Microsoft, released Windows Mobile 6 after Office 2007)
I think most of todays phones can read the above formats.
That iphone does it , is pretty much expected ! Whether is surpasses it,is what there is to be seen.
The only thing that has me excited and itching me to buy one is the dedicated Full Safari Browser on iPhone.( Ya-ya i have used all the version of Opera both in landscape and vertical mode and i am all but satisfied,)
Microsoft Deepfish was as much as anything that ever came to real PC-like web browsing. But its not available now.
I pray Deepfish comes soon !
