Why do people here recommend a screen guard for ip5. Its mostly scratch resistant unless you plan to rub it intentionally with keys and coins. Of all the phones i have seen only iphone has the true glass feeling when you touch the touch screen. All other screens feels more like plastic than actual glass.

If you carry it in your pocket even gorilla glass will get scratched eventually, rubbing against keys, change etc.

these devices are meant to be used naked.
anything added makes it heavier, less slim, not to mention ugly
it's not so hard, keep coins and keys in one pocket, phone in another. all regular use, and it is just fine, sleep with it under pillow, forget its in your back pocket, drop it on the floor while lobbing onto bed... all ok without case
just spend the money on some quality apps, should get like 15 for the price of even a cheap case

iphone 5 dropped from 2 storeys... the glass shatters, not the screen beneath, it's still usable... skip to 2:06

no problem with droid smoothness in the newer models. even sola is smooth... too smooth, like really there is butter on the screen. controls are positively slippery. the screen triggers actions sometimes even when your finger has not touched the screen, even though it is not in glove mode.
note II does not have a smoothness prolem, but it does tend to glitch out in different weird ways, apps get triggered on incoming messages and calls, goes into voice command mode every time it is docked, searches for voice input randomly during talking... list goes on
the "smoothness" of ios here may just be the lack of options. No multi-paning, no multi-tasking, no widgets. no 3 permanent buttons for back, home and menu, and another button for unlock, it's all just one belly button. no clutter, and you can do one thing at a time very well, and keep starting up new apps continuously without bothering to task manage and swipe down running apps to destroy em.
