Internet Surfing Problem

Broken In
I am having Broadband connection,Which is connected through a ADSL modem (D Link DSL 2520U) and by using a WiFi Router (NetGear JNR1010) i have made the LAN connection. But i have noticed that when i connect my LAN cable directly to the modem i works fine but when i made a WAN connection using the WiFi Router i have noticed that i speed starts dropping , the webpage doesn't open on single click each time i have to reload/refresh the webpage.
Plz hep me out. :-?

insert the wan cable from modem and insert it in wan port of router. Before this, configure your router/modem to work on bridged mode.... that way i'll work. i have the same setup at home but different hardware... :)
