Can you try opening an Explorer window (not IE) and try reaching a site by typing the URI in the address bar?

Completely unrelated advice: Ditch IE, choose Opera!

Download IE 8 (Beta 1). (Select XP from the drop-down; last option)

BTW i have firefox too but for certian things i need IE only

Good to no tat it worked 4 ya.. Plz uninstall SP3 First, Uninstall IE7, Install SP3 then Install IE 7 it would work. ....
