The RC1 build includes improvements in performance, stability, security, and application compatibility. With this build, Microsoft has also made enhancements to the fit and finish of the user interface, completed CSS platform changes, added language support and included an auto-uninstall feature in Setup, which automatically uninstalls prior betas of IE7 making installing the new build even easier.

IE7 RC1 is available in English today, and all localized versions of RC1 will be available in September including Arabic, Finnish, German, and Japanese as well as the French and Spanish versions which will be available for the first time.

Warning: Those using the update.exe method should not install as such

if u simply double click the IE7RC1-WindowsXP-x86-enu exe, file then it's ok, everything is normal, everything installs automatically

however, if u double click on update.exe & install using that, then follow this step

1) extract IE7RC1-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe with winrar

2) Now install idndl.exe, then nsldl.exe, then install xmllitesetup.exe & then install using update.exe, & reboot everything will be fine

normaliz.dll is a new file, which installs automatically when we install either by double clicking on the file, or by running iesetup.exe, here we are just doing it manually, it's inside the idndl.exe file

Why do you have to take an alternate path. Why doent it install automatically. Its not in beta. It should work properly.

users having legitimate Windows XP SP2 editions, need not worry, just double click on the file & it will validate itself, & install properly.

Users Otherwise, use the manual method

Firefox & Opera users, this thread is regarding the info of IE7, plz don't troll, this thread is not meant to be about whose gonna beat who or which browser has the biggest market share

Opera & Firefox are although good browsers, but even they are not without their flaws, nothing is perfect

LOL,I installed it but got IE6.

samething here, it just goes back to IE6 after giving an error that Installation failed. So much for having genuine windows. Lets see have tried 5 times, but will try and figure out the problem.

Anyways i will still continue to use Opera 9.01 even if the installation works out:D :D :D
