Internet Connection Problem

I have a BSNL Dataone Broadband connection with Huawei WA1003A Wireless Modem. I face this problem many times, sometimes ADSL light is turned on the modem but there is no internet connectivity. I called the customer care and those people told me that it's a modem problem and advised me to get the modem changed. Is it true? Can it be a Modem Problem. I have this modem since 6 years.

^ i can be a modem issue, these are electronic components and they will not serve you lifetime, so failure is very much possible. You can try this modem with another system and can verify if the problem is indeed with the modem, or something else

I have 3 Laptops and 1 Desktop at home..All are wireless..and all face the problem.
