I mean which type of signal does Airtel DTH provide?

@OP - at 5k.. its really ahrd to get a real HD capture card. You can get AverMedia AverTV Duo Hybid II for around 5.5k but this does not have HDMI input. This card converts analog signals it receives through the co-axial cable and converts it to digital 1080p resolution for recording. Its up-scaling the video not real HD. Nope..,, screen recorders will record the footage in the resolution at which its being seen on your screen, which ultimately wont be HD if you use basic card. Even if you upscale the video later, it wont be true HD quality.

No. They are HDCP encrypted AFAIK.

It'll satisfy your needs. Capture devices from Haupage are the best but their availability in India is questionable. So the best bet is AverMedia.

I heard that, you cannot record using TV Tuner in Airtel DTH..Is that true?
