Intel core 2 duo or Amd better processor?

Well i am in line to buy a new cpu for myself as i have been training to become an animator so i wanted a highend computer which would be more efficient in running animation softwares.Its been very confusing for me as i have been coming across people with different views, some are advising me to buy amd and some intel core 2 duo which has made me very confused.so please help with the configuration as my budget is around 25000 only for the cpu.

yeah didn't notice that, just saw buddy had same question and looked like it was getting answered quite thouroughly, by you Choto Cheeta, actually direct a few threads to that link, as questions were roughly the same... good to see someone is on the ball. now should this one be reported as a double thread (same topic,same question, just posted somewhere else)???
