HEy guys i own intel p4 3 ghz pro with ht tech, i bought intel 865 gbf mobo.I want to upgrade 2 915 mobo.But my dealer says it aint possible as my pro is with pin and 915 only compatible with pinless pro.I think he is cheating me.what you think?pls reply soon

No, he is right. 915 mobos come with a LGA(land grid array) proccy holder, which means that the pins are in the mobo than on the proccy.

Your dealer is not cheating you. You have 478 pin processor but 915 mobo is for LGA 775 Socket.

U dont need a 915 mobo at all. 865 gb is a pretty good one.Just grab a good gfx card nd get 24 bit 7.1 crative sound card.Thats it

That's right u r mobo 865GBF is good and if own a graphic card...it becomes self sufficient
