Correct me if I am wrong but this seems like the first ever foreign video game advertisement on Indian TV. Before we just used to get a short reel of Playstation games as a Playstation ad. And I guess there were some ads on games based on Indian IPs.

There’s a PUBG themed restaurant in Jaipur now and you may want to drop by

I have heard about this game PUBG. After seeing your post wanted to check what it is, and searched for gameplay in youtube. 10 minutes into watching it, I got sick. Yeah, really.

The same way I felt after watching a movie called Cloverfield some years ago. I didn't know it was because of the movie. Later, I found out it's because of the way the movie was shot. In fact, they put a notice about this in movie theaters that some may get motion sickness.

Anyone here get motion sickness by playing/watching games like this?

Do you play other FPS games and not get motion sickness?

I was surprised to see this on TV. BTW, went for shopping and mobile salesmen were trying to promote crap phones for PUBG.

I don't play games these days. In fact, I wasn't much of a gamer even when I was playing back then. If I remember right, the last one I played was Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and that was about a decade ago. Before that Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
No, I didn't get motion sickness back then. May be I wasn't comfortable playing Max Payne, not sure. But I was fine and good playing Hitman.
Don't remember playing any other first person shooter game other than some online flash games.
By the way, I don't remember the titles I played so googled and found out. Wiki doesn't classify those two as FPS.

Not the first, definitely. Back in the early 00s, I once saw an ad on AXN of an official compilation called "Wow! That's What I Call Action" containing four games: Rainbow Six, Max Payne, Deus Ex and Tomb Raider.

Those are third person games. Some people do get motion sickness in first person games. Some are due to genetic reasons , others can be attributed to bad Field of View and frame pacing.

Was it during a show that showcased videogames? I remember there were shows that showcased games.

No, it was an ad. It was an official compilation of games from Axn.

PUBG has grown tremendously in India so they have targeted the Ad in Indian Televisions.
Even my brother is addicted to it on mobile.

Tencent is going to sue that restaurant if they find out about it.

That GTA V boarding is epic just like the game.
