hello friends few days back only i bought a new intel system after spending hell of a money but still cant play games even in medium settings with everything on with 6600gt as well as not satisfied with its performance and it gets heated every now and then so tell me about some cooling solution already have 400watt antec 3 fans,2 in the back and 1 in the front of the cabinet but still it shows the message that your processor is at 65c.
i have 3.2GHZ 2mb lga775,915p chipset,512mb ddr2 533mhz ram.
so now i have decided to go for a better pcie card, better pentium processor.and motherboard.i already have ddr2 so no need for ram i feel.
my budget is 40thousand including all the things i have right which i am going to sell it off soon
please everyone help me i really dont know what to do.

@diabolic i'll suggest u to stick with ur current rig as i dont c any reason to sell this nu rig.if u want then just make few changes:-
1:-go for better grapix card like 6800GS/GT or 7800GT/GTX.
2:-go for more 512 DDR2 533MHz ram.

i guess this will solve ur problem to sum extend.or else if u really wanna change ur system then betta go for AMD rig its any day betta then that of intel and is cool and quiet.
here is the AMD config:-
1:-AMD64 3200+ (939 pin)
2:-ASUS A8NE MOBO,MSI K8N NEO4 Platinum.
3:-1GB DDR 400MHz RAM kingston/transcend
4:-6800gs/gt or 7800gt/gtx which ever comes in ur budget.(u need to sell those DDR2 ram as none of the amd mobo support DDR2 ram).

HUh? you gonna sell your new rig just like that. No attempts to troubleshoot the problem? May be a small prob which can be diagnosed opening your cabinet. Cant play games even at medium settings with 6600GT?

You need to ask around for help with ur present rig before buying another rig. This is just insane burning money.

you say that yaur card heats up and doesn't perform well (maybe it doesn't perform well because it heats up), try getting it fixed or replaced from it's manufacturer (it must still be under warranty isn't it?) why sell your machine for such a small problem. it's just waste of money.

Check out the heatsinks in the processors... C to it that there is no blockage for proper air circulation due to the wires running along...

U seem to b havin a hell lot of money... huh...? Stick with this system dude... Jus check out the heatin issues... It'll b done most probably...

:D Prescott processor's heating problems are discussed here a lot.pls search these threads,...also go for some cooling soltn like arctic silver 5 or a proper thermal pad installed.TAC(Thermally advantageous chassis) must be there for prescotts......

NO NEED TO CHANGE THE CONFIG ..

just change ur graphics card to 7800 gt .. and add 1 gb additional ram .. that will solve ur prob .. also if ur 3.2 ghz is giving u heating prob then go for dedicated cpu cooler like cooler master hyper 6 ... etc ..
