Image Enlarger

Is there any software available to enlarge digital images with no or minor quality loss.
I have one named Imagener but few pixels appears in the resized picture.But its good than other graphics tools.

Please give suggestions or please tell the reason,why is it not possible to enlarge pictures without any compromise to quality.

Computer have not become intelligent nor any programmer have full proof algorithm to generate pixels required when enlarging the image size.

One can easily reduce an big image into smaller image, there are very good alg. to discard unwanted pixel while reducing big image to small

but no alg. to generate exact pixels when enlarging

Irfan view the simple image viewer can do this job easily . the images can be enlarged with the use of lanczos filter easily with minimum loss in quality.
